Questions about Tickets:

How do I get my tickets once I have purchased them online?

Tickets purchased on-line, will receive an email confirmation with a link to print your eTickets from your computer.

I did not receive an email confirmation when I ordered my tickets, what should I do?

Check your spam or gray mail folder, in case it was misdirected. If you are unable to find it, contact info@tekventure.org to have it resent. Please include the name and email address used to order the tickets.

I am not able to print my tickets, what should I do?

Adobe has a site which reviews the common issues with printing .pdf files
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/873/cpsid_87346.html

In the article you will see the quickest resolution is to print as an image - Step 1

If this article doesn't help to resolve the issue, please let us know. We can send you the .pdf as an email attachment rather than having you access the ticket from the link in the email. And of course, if that doesn't work, we can print the tickets and get them to you by another means. Please feel free to reach us at info@tekventure.org.

The tickets have my name but I want to give them as a gift, donate, etc., can the be used by someone else?

Yes, the tickets are transferrable. The name on the ticket does not need to be the ticket holder at the gate. If you would like to have the name on the ticket changed or removed, please let us know at info@tekventure.org, and we will update the tickets on your behalf.

About Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire - Powered by TekVenture:

Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire is a community driven event managed by TekVenture and produced in partnership with MAKE Magazine.  The goal is to create awareness about TekVenture programming and to raise funds for our organization.

About TekVenture, Incorporated:

TekVenture is a 501(c)(3) organization working to develop a public art and technology lab in the near downtown Fort Wayne area. TekVenture's mission is to be a place where the public will engage with tools, materials, and mentors to make things.

Currently operating as the TekVenture Maker Station in partnership with the Allen County Public Library, this 50' trailer houses tools and materials that allow maker members and visitors to understand the design to fabrication cycle and for making things.

About Maker Faire:

Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.

The original Maker Faire event was heldin San Mateo, CA and in 2012 celebrated its seventh annual show with some 800 makers and 110,000 people in attendance. World Maker Faire New York, the other flagshipevent, has grown in three years to 500+ makers and 55,000 attendees. Detroit, Kansas City, Newcastle (UK), and Tokyo are the home of “featured” Maker Faires (200+ makers), and community-driven, independently organized Mini Maker Faires are now being produced around the United States and the world—including right here in Fort Wayne.

About MAKE Magazine:

MAKE is the first magazine devoted entirely to Do-It-Yourself (DIY) technology projects. MAKE unites, inspires, informs, and entertains a growing community of resourceful people who undertake amazing projects in their backyards, basements, and garages. MAKE celebrates your right to tweak, hack, and bend any technology to your will. Subscribe here.

Besides the magazine and the faire, MAKE is:

  • a vital online stream of news and projects, blog.makezine.com;
  • a retail outlet for kits and books, the Maker Shed;
  • a steady stream of fun and instruction via our YouTube channel;
  • Make: Projects, a library of projects with step-by-step instructions
  • a book publishing imprint with best-in-category titles on introductions to electronics, Raspberry Pi, Arduino and more.
